A variety of media was used for these pieces. For instance, some of the paintings are acrylic, oil, and latex house paint. Some pieces are a reduction of sorts, the result of me scraping paintings and cutting them up into square inch swatches and bundling them with twine. The pattern starts to emerge in the paintings. I go from working on an easel to working on the floor around this time. These works date back to 1999-2000.
This is work from graduate school
The first piece in this gallery is my first BIG drawing. I showed it in Chicago as part of my graduate thesis. It’s old and has been through a lot but I still have it. I work on color combinations throughout these two years. Some are quite large.

The first seven drawings were part of a series made for Beyond/In Western New York in 2007. They were displayed vertically. Each measured 50” x 100.” I left the middle one unfinished. The very first one fell on top of my head and ripped in half while I de-installed it.

This drawing measures 113” w x 50” h and is the largest drawing I have done thus far. It took me about three years to complete.
The second drawing was done in about four months because I did it during the Covid-19 quarantine.

The following pieces are from a large series I call the “Shape” series. I am offering prints of these. They can be printed to scale or smaller.
